For a number of reasons 'nature' has taken more of a centre stage in our collective thinking in recent years and, it would seem, even more profoundly for us this year. During this autumn season, Pallant House have an exhibition entitled 'Drawn to Nature: Gilbert White and the Artists', (see Pallant House link), and which enhances our intention to look at ways of painting the figure (clothed), within a natural setting. Pallant House
Arrive the first week with options for your ‘natural’ setting and I will help you to select the one that will likely give you best compositional results. For at least 2 of the 7 weeks, we will have a live, clothed model in a variety of ‘outside’ attire to create studies that will be placed into your chosen ‘natural’ setting. I will assist you with drawing and painting techniques, according to your current ability.
To create a vibrant mix of creative interaction, this course offers places for beginners & for those with more expertise.
(Out of consideration to each other, we do not use turps for oil painting).
(Limited places available due to COVID safety restrictions).
